We believe the accepted canon of the Old and New Testaments as originally given is the inspired and only infallible, authoritative Word of God. God's Word is His principle means of revealing Himself to man and will be at the heart of a Christian's life. It is the final authority for all belief and practice. There is but one true God, the creator of all. He is infinitely perfect and eternally existent in three persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God created man in holy perfection, but man fell through disobedience. Apart from the saving grace of God, man is hopelessly alienated from his Creator. Having inherited a sinful nature through rebellion, man abides in spiritual death. Jesus Christ is truly God and truly man. As the Eternal Son of God, He humbled Himself to be clothed in flesh, conceived in the womb of a virgin (Mary) through the power of the Holy Spirit. He lived a sinless life, performed miracles, and allowed Himself to be crucified in our stead. He then rose bodily from the grave, ascended into heaven, and is now at the right hand of the Father as our High Priest and Advocate. In Jesus' death, burial and resurrection, He paid the total price for our foregiveness and restoration; the shedding of His sinless blood purchased deliverance from sin and its effects.
